An extraordinary and iconic work by Mario Schifano (1934–1998), one of the absolute pioneers of European Pop Art and of the Piazza del Popolo School. This work, within an elegant white-colored frame, belongs to his famous and highly sought-after series of "Tele/Foto Computerizzate", hand-retouched photographs taken from television screens. Schifano isolates a transient mediatic image, transforming an ephemeral TV broadcast into a lyrical and permanent artistic statement through dynamic and energetic strokes of colored enamel. A conceptually impactful work, worthy of a museum, that perfectly reflects Schifano's obsession with contemporary media and visual flows.
