Tours - Jaget e Pinon (Maurice Pinon) - Vase - Earthenware

Antique two-tone French amphora vase, made in the first half of the 20th century (in the 1930s) by the Tours manufactory, signed by renowned ceramists Jaget and Pinon (Maurice Pinon). Fine glazed terracotta (faïence émaillée), often confused with porcelain due to its superb glossy finish. Ground in Sèvres blue (deep cobalt blue / oven blue).

Details in solid gold including olive branch and leaves on the body, large fully gilded geometric handles, and a brown relief-decorated band on the shoulder of the vase.

Inspired by the Empire Style and Neoclassicism, with the classic elongated fusiform shape resting on a circular foot.

Good condition with minimal signs of time and wear.

Height is in cm with a weight of 2.7 kg.
