Description from the seller
G for Gaudí — The Artphabet
Edition 1/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This artwork is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays tribute to key figures in art, architecture, and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter G is transformed into a tribute to Antoni Gaudí, reinterpreting his unmistakable architectural language based on organic forms, flowing structures, and a deep connection with nature. Typography becomes a living sculpture that evokes the sinuous geometries characteristic of Catalan Modernism.
The surface of the letter is constructed through a three‑dimensional mosaic inspired by the trencadís technique, where irregular ceramic fragments form a vibrant skin, rich in color and texture. Blues, turquoises, yellows, and ochres combine to recreate the Mediterranean essence present in many of Gaudí's works.
The composition integrates biomorphic elements suggesting organic growth, reinforcing the idea of architecture as an extension of nature. The form flows continuously, without rigid lines, creating a sense of movement and structural harmony.
The artwork has been created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), modeled in an artisanal way with special attention to detail, materiality, and the interaction of light on the fragmented surfaces, achieving a highly expressive and contemporary sculptural aesthetic.
The Artphabet has enjoyed wide international reach, being disseminated in numerous design, art, and visual culture outlets, establishing itself as one of the most prominent artistic typography projects within the recent digital sphere.
Cess is an artist specialized in digital art, CGI, and artificial intelligence, with a solid track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue, and MTV, among others.
The piece is presented in high-quality Giclée print on poly/cotton canvas, ensuring excellent reproduction of the detail, texture, and color richness of the original digital work.
