This painting represents, as indicated at the top (Odoratus 3), an allegory of smell.

Surely, this painting was part of a set of the 5 senses.

Executed in oil on panel. In very good condition.

The frame is not from the period of the painting, but it is of high quality, made in gilded and polychromed wood.

Bonito retrato de dama del siglo XVII, vestida con un rico ropaje de terciopelo rojo, con bordados en oro. Sombrero haciendo juego con el vestido, rematado por una gran pluma y cuello bordado al estilo de la época.

La joven dama lleva un cesto de flore en su regazo y en su mano un ramillete.

Este cuadro representa como se indica en la parte superior (Odoratus 3) una alegoría al olfato.

Seguramente, esta pintura formaba parte de un conjunto de los 5 sentidos.

Realizado en oleo sobre tabla. Muy buen estado de conservación.

El marco no es de la época del cuadro, pero tiene una gran calidad, hecho en madera dorada y policromada.
