Description from the seller

This artwork is based on a combination of clean geometric forms, large areas of flat color, and an expressive female silhouette. The minimal use of detail draws attention to the purity of the composition, while the bold color contrasts create a sense of elegance, confidence, and contemporary style.
The oversized hat, graphic profile, and circular earrings form a memorable image inspired by the aesthetics of fashion illustration and modern design. Crisp lines and a balanced composition make the artwork both visually striking and versatile.
Created in a contemporary graphic style using flat color fields and hard-edge techniques, this painting will become a distinctive focal point in a modern interior, making it an excellent choice for a living room, bedroom, office, boutique, or beauty salon.
The painting is made with acrylic on canvas. The artwork size is 80×80 cm, with a depth of 3 cm, and the edges are painted to match the composition. The total canvas size, including borders, is 90×90 cm.
The painting will be shipped without a stretcher frame, rolled in a cardboard tube for safe transportation.

About the artist:
Veronika Obushikhina (b. 1976, Russia) is a contemporary artist based in Barcelona, Spain.
Working across painting and video, Obushikhina investigates the relationship between space, perception, and human presence through a visual language characterized by geometric reduction, spatial structure, and formal restraint. Drawing from minimalist and conceptual traditions, her work explores how architecture, horizon, figure, and emptiness function as points of orientation within contemporary experience.
Through carefully constructed compositions, she creates contemplative environments that examine balance, distance, silence, and the perceptual conditions through which we understand place and presence. Her practice reflects an ongoing interest in the capacity of visual form to shape psychological and spatial awareness.
Obushikhina’s work has been exhibited internationally in Europe and the United States, including presentations at MEAM – Museu Europeu d’Art Modern, Barcelona; Art Mozaik Fine Art Gallery, Santa Fe; and exhibitions in Barcelona, Málaga, and Berlin. In 2026, she will present the solo exhibition Where Form Remains at Arttek Gallery, Barcelona.
She is represented by The Fusion Art Gallery (TFAG), Málaga. Her works are held in private collections throughout Europe and the United States and are featured on international platforms including Artsy, Singulart, Artfinder, and The Artling.
Obushikhina completed her studies at the Institute of Mediterranean Culture in 2025. She continues to develop a multidisciplinary practice situated at the intersection of perception, spatial inquiry, and contemporary minimalism.
