Description from the seller
Simona Fumagalli was born in Monza in 1967. After graduating from the State Art High School of Bergamo, she resumed her studies in the arts with a path that gradually distances itself from classical figurative painting.
This path focuses on an ongoing search for style, technique, and synthesis in continual evolution. The starting point is always the concrete—the figure, the object, the animal—but there is the will and the need to distance herself from it, to go beyond appearances, beyond the first glance, to simplify the image and grasp its essential aspects only to overturn them.
Spontaneity, speed, and immediacy of vision and gesture belong to the artist who is able to express them and communicate them with great coherence.
In 2007 she held her first solo show and subsequently participated in various exhibition projects, earning awards and recognitions.
She lives and works in Lomagna, in the province of Lecco.
