Munlu.art, Ticket to love - Popeye & Olivia, a hand-painted original artwork from 2026, 40 x 30 cm, acrylic painting with mixed media and spray paint on canvas, signed by hand, depicting a pop culture street-art scene with a collage of original 1980s comics, sold directly from the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Ticket to love - Popeye & Olivia, anno 2026, measurements 40x30 cm, Collage of original 1980s comics and acrylic on canvas. The choice to place the comics upside down relative to the main image is a powerful visual metaphor. This intentional contrast overturns the rules of communication to emphasize that, when two people love each other, the outside world loses its reference points and everything else disappears.
The main image: It is the focal point. When two people are united, their reality becomes the absolute center of gravity of the work.
The upside-down comics: Represent the "noise" of the world, distractions, daily anxieties or social conventions (the upside-down world). By flipping these elements, you communicate that external pressures no longer count, no longer have a logical sense or a dominant weight.
Unique piece.
Hand-painted artwork.
The work was created with artisanal and non-industrial methods. Small imperfections are not to be attributed to a manufacturing defect but to the peculiarity of the product, entirely handmade.
The work will be sold with a certificate of authenticity.
