Description from the seller
Harmony Series, 2005
Painting 35×35 cm on white paper 45×45 cm
Exhibition: Castello Estense, Ferrara, 2005
Created in 2005, this engraving belongs to the Harmony series, a cycle of twelve works presented in the same year at Castello Estense in Ferrara. The series explores the possibility of building a visual balance through the relationship between geometry, color, and movement, transforming the surface into a field of controlled forces.
In this composition, the central circular nucleus immersed in a cool chromatic range acts as a point of energetic condensation. Around it develop curved lines and trajectories that traverse the space, generating an internal motion that does not break the structure, but sustains it. The rectangular fields, overlapped in warm and cool tones, create a counterpoint that amplifies depth and introduces an almost musical dimension.
The white card stock, chosen as support, contributes to the essential and experimental nature of the work, while the dark background intensifies the chromatic vibration of the forms. Within the series, this work represents one of the clearest syntheses of the concept of “harmony”: not as staticity, but as a dynamic accord between different elements that finds a balance point in their interaction.
The 2005 exhibition at Castello Estense highlighted the maturity of the artist’s research, capable of articulating a personal abstract language in which geometry opens to fluidity and color becomes emotional structure.
