A striking Mallorcan coastal landscape, signed “E. DEU”, depicting a clear-sand cove sheltered by rocky formations and Mediterranean vegetation.

The composition is organized from a foreground of dark rock toward the beach and the open sea. The coastline guides the eye toward the background, where the blue of the water, the golden sand, and the intense greens create a luminous, truly Mediterranean scene.

1. CALA, COAST AND MEDITERRANEAN LIGHT

The painting captures a compact cove, with rocks in the foreground, calm water, and a wide-open beach under soft light.

The reverse inscription “CALA ESTRETA - 13” directly links the work to this coastal enclave. The landscape is presented from a clear, direct, and highly decorative perspective, with special attention to the contrast between sand, water, and vegetation.

2. TECHNIQUE AND CHROMATISM

The artist works with visible, rapid brushstrokes loaded with matter. The rocks are built with greens, blues, violets, and grays, while the sand is resolved with light ochres, yellows, and whites.
