Marco Corridoni presents FIXED Fontana XL - no. 16 / 100 (2026), a unique original mixed media work on canvas with leather and metal, 100 × 70 cm, hand-signed, in excellent condition, produced in Italy and sold directly by the artist, in blue and part of the conceptual art series inspired by Lucio Fontana.
Description from the seller
FIXED Fontana XL - no. 16 /100 (2026)
Hydro-painting on canvas, leather, metal
70x100cm
ONE-OF-A-KIND and ORIGINAL work
Piece number 16 of a numbered series of only 100 editions.
Special XL edition of the series "Fixed Fontana".
The artist draws inspiration from Lucio Fontana's spatial concepts to rewrite the history of art, through a manipulation of his artistic poetics, suspended between citationalism and desecration.
The cuts are sewn back together, symbolically, to shorten space rather than to "open" it.
Expectations are dashed, almost as a protest against a way of making and selling art that has little or nothing to do with originality and the essence of art itself.
The canvases are prepared in Fontana's manner and the cuts, rigorously made by hand by the artist, reproduce those of the most famous works.
Each cut is fixed with a black back panel, just as documented by Lucio Fontana: this gives stability to the work and an exquisite aesthetic effect.
Work signed on the back
Photographic certification included
Frame available separately.
