Art Deco centerpiece with swallows in relief – Molded pressed crystal
Superb Art Deco glass centerpiece, of great elegance and remarkable finesse, adorned with a circular decoration of swallows in full flight, delicately sculpted in relief on the lower part.
The birds, treated with a remarkable mastery of drawing and movement, seem to evolve around the basin in an airy composition of great poetry. Their finely modeled silhouettes provide both a decorative function and that of a pedestal, lending the whole a visual lightness and a perfect harmony of volumes.
The crystal, clear and luminous, reveals precise molding work, offering subtle plays of transparency and relief. The overall aesthetics fully align with the French Art Deco tradition, evoking the finest productions of the interwar period, in the spirit of Lalique and Sabino, without formal attribution.
