Nicole Lubbers - Ember Flow

Nicole Lubbers has been active at the international level for years within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice on Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. Additionally she participated in various international biennales and her work is represented in several galleries spread across Europe.

With her latest collection, Nicole Lubbers is taking a distinctly new artistic path. Where her international experience remains palpably present, she now consciously chooses stillness, layering and authenticity. In her recent works she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading and emotional resonance.

Working with durable oil paint, acrylic and charcoal she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between quiet and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time and human presence.

The works are made on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and deliberately presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to tailor the artwork completely to their own interior and experience — both with and without a frame.
