Nicole Lubbers - Astral Flow

Nicole Lubbers has for years moved at an international level within the contemporary art world. Her work has been exhibited in cities such as New York, Prague and this month in Colling. She has exhibited twice in Times Square and achieved second place at the World Art Awards. In addition, she participated in various international biennials and her work is represented in several galleries spread across Europe.

With her latest collection, Nicole Lubbers is taking a distinctly new artistic path. While her international experience remains palpable, she now consciously chooses stillness, layering and authenticity. In her recent works, she explores the fragile beauty of memory, fading and emotional resonance.

Working with sustainable oil paint, acrylic and charcoal, she creates aesthetic compositions that feel like faded manuscripts of memory — intuitive, poetic and raw at the same time. Her canvases balance between abstraction and recognition, between stillness and movement. Each work bears traces of emotion, time and human presence.

The works are made on stretched canvas of 50 x 70 cm and are intentionally presented without a frame. This preserves the purity of the work and gives the collector the freedom to adapt the artwork entirely to their interior and experience — with or without a frame.

For Nicole Lubbers, art is no longer only about imagery, but about feeling, memory and matter. Her new series forms an intimate encounter between sustainability, aesthetics and personal expression — a re-discovery of painting and drawing in their most authentic form.
