AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Eliza Kołodziej (b. 2000, Poland)
“Meadow at Noon”, 2023
Oil on canvas
20 × 50 cm (unframed, ready to hang)

Painted during the Dłużew Plein Air in Poland, this landscape captures the stillness of a summer meadow under the bright midday sun. The intense light flattens the shadows, creating an atmosphere of quiet warmth and calm.

The panoramic composition leads the eye across open fields, scattered trees and a distant horizon. Soft transitions of green, ochre and pale blue convey the shimmering air of a hot summer day, while loose, expressive brushstrokes preserve the freshness and immediacy of painting outdoors.

Exhibited in: post-plein-air exhibition, Dłużew, Poland; Academy of Fine Arts end-of-year exhibition.

The painting is ready to hang and will be shipped in secure, multi-layered packaging with an insured, tracked delivery and a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Seller's Story

I am Eliza Kołodziej, a Polish painter (b. 2000) and MFA graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where I completed my diploma with the highest distinction. I create oil paintings focused on urban spaces, often exploring moments of tension, emptiness and quiet unease – places that feel familiar but slightly off. My work is rooted in traditional painting techniques, with a strong attention to light, material and atmosphere. Alongside painting, I also work with textile and craft-based practices, which influence my sensitivity to structure and surface. My works have been exhibited in galleries such as Bacalarte Gallery and A10 Gallery, as well as in group exhibitions at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. I am a recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship and multiple Rector’s Scholarships for outstanding artistic achievement. All artworks offered here come directly from my studio. Each piece is original, carefully finished and shipped securely with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity.
