AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Two authentic, hand-made stoneware vessels glazed with a traditional pottery workshop origin. Both pieces were wheel-thrown and coated with the characteristic green glaze with natural drips, typical of utilitarian ceramics from Central and Southern Europe in the first half of the 20th century.

The first jug has a classic, slender form with two handles. The upper part is covered with a dark green glaze, the lower part left in the natural color of the fired clay. Visible are marks of hand throwing that give the item an authentic character.

The second vessel stands out with an unusual three-handle design and a side tube serving as a spout or vent. This type of ware was found in traditional pottery workshops in Spain, southern France, Italy, and Central Europe.

Both vessels represent an interesting example of traditional ceramic craftsmanship and will be an excellent addition to a collection of folk pottery, rustic interiors, or exhibitions dedicated to European pottery.

Condition: Very good for age. Natural signs of use are present, small wear and minimal glaze loss at the edges. The smaller vessel shows the typical for old ceramics a glaze craquelure (craquelure). No structural cracks are visible.

You will receive all items shown in the photos.
