Original 2023 mixed-media acrylic painting on premium stretched canvas by Le Yack, titled 'Exit, Pursued by Nothing', signed by hand, 40 × 40 cm, France, sold directly by the artist with certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
A silhouette from behind descends the stairs of a sumptuous dwelling: a long black dress, heels, a chignon. Behind the tall French window, a lit chandelier shines in the gloom: the party, or the home, remains inside; she steps out. The painting is entirely built on this moment of departure, emphasized by the diagonal of the shadows on the floor and by the shadow cast on the right wall of another figure — a man with a hat — a ghostly presence of the one who watches her leave or whom she is leaving. The contrast between the sunlit pale stone and the woman’s absolute black makes her a gap, an absence in motion. Elegance and rupture are fused there.
Technique mixte: acrylic painting on pigment ink print, matte spray varnish
Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of the blacks and the durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Signed Le Yack · Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
