Le Yack's original mixed-media acrylic on canvas artwork Screen Door, Silver Screen - Technique mixte sur toile, 40 × 40 cm, signed by hand, France, 2023.
Description from the seller
Framed by the glass door she opens with both arms raised, the woman in a silver satin slip offers herself as a luminous icon against the interior’s shadow. The gesture, arms crossed gripping the doorframe, is at once a morning stretch and a deliberate pose: she knows she is being seen. The satin, the only shining element, concentrates light like a spotlight. Around her, everything is banal and a little rough—the cladding, the electrical meter, tangled cables, the wooden step: the prosaic frames the glamour and makes it all the more disconcerting. The threshold, as in so many of these works, is a place of meaning: neither fully inside nor outside, she stands on the line.
Mixed technique: acrylic painting on pigment-ink print, matte varnish sprayed
Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of the blacks and the durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on wooden frame, ready to hang.
Signed Le Yack · Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
