Le Yack presents Still Life, Still Awake - Technique mixte sur toile, a 40 cm by 40 cm mixed media painting on canvas with acrylic over a pigment-ink print, hand-signed, dated 2023, original edition, on premium canvas ready to hang, with a certificate of authenticity and provenance direct from the artist in France.
Description from the seller
The body extends where objects are normally placed: on the worktop, among the hanging cups, the plants and the Italian coffee pot. The woman herself becomes a piece of the domestic still life, but a living piece, gazing through the window at the city’s night. The pale body catches all the light and contrasts with the deep green of the furniture; the light garland adds a late-night sense of intimacy. On the foreground table, the cup and the book speak of chosen solitude, sweet insomnia. The whole painting rests on this tension between the inertness of things and the body’s attentiveness: the gaze turned outward transforms the kitchen into an observatory.
Technical mix: acrylic painting on pigment-ink print, matte varnish spray
Varnish applied by hand, for depth of blacks and durable protection of the work.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Signed Le Yack · Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
