Terminal Indifference - mixed media on canvas by Le Yack, a 2023 original signed piece in realistic style, acrylic on ink-printed etching with matte varnish, on premium stretched canvas, certificate of authenticity provided, shipped directly from France by the artist.
Description from the seller
Two passengers side by side, two hermetic worlds. The man, head tilted back, sleeps or dreams, abandoned; the woman in the hat reads her newspaper, absorbed, indifferent. Between them, the car’s lip rises as a vertical border, and the two signs — “Times Square”, “Main St” — assign each to a destination, to a different America: the spectacular metropolis on one side, the small town on the other. The harsh light that sculpts their features heightens their shared isolation. It’s a study of the loneliness of proximity: never so alone as when sitting next to a stranger. The deep blues and the geometric architecture of the windows reinforce this chilly elegance.
Medium: mixed media: acrylic paint on pigment ink print, matte varnish sprayed
Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of blacks and the durable protection of the artwork.
Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang.
Signed Le Yack · Atelier Joconde · certificate of authenticity provided.
