Cyril Pienon, a prize-winning French artist, represented in galleries (Colmar, Montbéliard, Pont-Aven, etc.) and gallery networks such as Carré d’artistes (successively in galleries in Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Brest, Saint-Etienne, Dijon, Grenoble, etc.). Born in 1976 in Burgundy and shaped by extended stays abroad during his childhood, he has been living for many years near Rennes in Brittany.
Self-taught artist, he creates, in a musical sense, vibrant acrylic paintings full of color, movement and contrast. The overseas stays during his childhood are not foreign to this desire to play with colors and contrasts. Music fuels his inspiration; it acts as a catalyst.
Acrylic, applied with brush and knife, is a technique that suits him because it allows him to express himself fully. He also uses impasto techniques to add volume and relief to his canvases. He likes to suggest while allowing everyone to let their imagination unfold.
