Giclée on canvas titled Slouching Toward the Carport - Hand-signed by LeYack, 40 × 40 cm, 2022, limited edition of 20, produced in France, sold directly by the artist, in good condition, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The car is the real character, and it is pink: feminine, desirable, offered to the sun like a consumption jewel. The woman, on the other hand, is seen from behind, in black, walking away — the human leaving the space occupied by the object. It’s the whole American myth that’s playing out here: modernist architecture with pure lines, the sky saturated blue to the point of unreality, the palm trees whose shadows paint a second work on the wall. Nothing moves, everything prospers, and yet a dull unease runs through the scene — that of manufactured paradise, the oasis that is only a set. The authentic California plate confirms the dream as much as it dates it.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist on the front and back of the piece.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using high-quality pigment printing for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern storytelling with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject a palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: Le Yack, Atelier Joconde, pink Cadillac, mid-century architecture, Palm Springs, California desert, palm trees, woman from behind, 1950s, American luxury
