The Soul, Standing Ajar is a 2022 hand-signed giclée on canvas by LeYack, limited to 20 copies, 40 x 40 cm, produced in France and sold direct from the artist, with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The door is not an obstacle, it’s a filter. The frosted glass makes the woman a sign before making her a person: you first read a posture, a bun, the onset of a gesture, never a face. The ironwork, with its heart-shaped volute hanging above her, imposes on the gaze a grammar — the ornament decides what one has the right to see. The hand held out toward the handle is the only clear element, almost photographic: all meaning concentrates in this suspended moment between inside and outside, staying and departing. The mimosa on the left, the only true warm color, functions as a living counterpoint to this blue of mourning. The work does not tell a scene; it freezes a threshold.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist in front of and on the back of the work.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using a high-quality pigment print for faithful reproduction of details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born in 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing on photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
Keywords: Le Yack, Atelier Joconde, feminine silhouette, forged-iron door, frosted glass, threshold, chiaroscuro, intimacy, contemporary figurative painting, night blue
