Two Straws, One Silence - Hand-signed is a 2022 giclée print on canvas by LeYack, limited edition of 20, signed both front and back, 40 x 40 cm, produced in France and sold directly by the artist with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
The real subject is not the kiss, but the geometry of glances. The two lovers, face to face, form a closed bubble, a circle in which they deliberately exclude the world; the man's hand on the back of the woman's neck seals this tender confinement. But the painting shifts all the meaning toward the third character: the seller in a cap, leaning on the counter, who watches the scene with a half-smile that is at once benevolent and slightly melancholic. He is the witness, the conscience of the image — the one who sees what the lovers no longer see. The chrome counter, the dispensers, the menu with meticulous prices ('Malted Milk 25', 'Coke 10') anchor the eternal in the trivial: love is played out in the middle of the salt shakers. The palette, freed from any yellow dominance, drifts toward cool blue-grays that make the warmth of the bodies all the more striking.

About the artist:
