Jone Hopper (France, born 1977) presents 'Belle demoiselle', an original mixed media on canvas (40 × 30 cm) signed by hand, from 2020 or later, sold directly by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
At the end of the 1980s, he cut his teeth in the street through an emerging movement of the time: graffiti. He tags his name on the streets, on walls and on trains. Recognized for his characters and his aerosol signatures, he created the collective TBS (The Brutal Style) with Skepa and a few other dedicated graffiti writers. We know little about him because the artist remains faithful to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to stay anonymous, believing that the artwork should be highlighted and not the person.
Unseen on social networks, absent from openings, a faceless artist, he remains a real mystery except for a few gallery owners who know the truth. He compares his painting to a piece of Hip Hop, drawing from Basquiat, Keith Haring, Picasso, Matisse, Andy Warhol or even Bacon, harvesting from all art movements, from Modern to Contemporary, through Classical; he acts like a sampler... samples, cuts, assembles and thus creates new images.
- Mixed media: aerosol, pastel and acrylic on canvas
- With certificate of authenticity
