Description from the seller
Standing still on a jetty swept by a raking light, a man elegantly dressed in a white suit and a Panama hat contemplates the blue expanse. Beside him rests a superb varnished wooden classic runabout, its smooth curves contrasting with the quay's geometric lines. The intense shadows and the absolute calm of the scene evoke the Riviera's silent elegance, 1930s nostalgia, and timeless luxury. Between anticipation and contemplation, this painting captures the essence of a suspended departure.
