Ceramic wall decor by the Flemish ceramic artist Gerarda Vermeiren (born in Meerdonk, August 24, 1926 – Turnhout, September 22, 2000). She was a member of the Congregation of the Sisters Maricollen in Waasmunster and later an Ursuline, and director of childcare centers in the Hoogstraten/Turnhout region, there known under the name Sister Veronique. She was regarded within her community as a respected and professional artist.
