Description from the seller
- THE ORACLES -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY
The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints, and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 90x160 cm (entire canvas)
Artwork Overview:
Four enigmatic figures emerge like guardians from a forgotten mythology. Their bodies are simplified into signs and symbols, yet their eyes remain open, alert, and intensely present. They do not speak; they observe.
Drawing from the universal language of archetypes, the painting explores awareness, intuition, and the human feeling of being both seen and unseen. The repeated eyes evoke inner vision and consciousness, while the crowns suggest dignity, individuality, and the hidden sovereignty that exists within every person.
Executed in a raw neo-expressionist manner, the work embraces spontaneity, imperfect lines, and childlike symbolism to create something emotionally immediate and timeless. The restrained palette and rhythmic forms allow the figures to feel simultaneously ancient and contemporary, familiar and mysterious.
The Watchers is a statement piece that invites repeated viewing. The longer one looks, the less these figures appear as characters and the more they resemble aspects of our own inner world—witnesses quietly observing our dreams, fears, and transformations.
It is a portrait of four parts of the human psyche sharing the same room.
A striking statement piece for collectors of Neo-Expressionism, contemporary symbolic art, and works that balance visual boldness with emotional depth.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.
Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.
ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.
He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
