Original publisher's pictorial card wraps with the iconic optical design to the front cover and orange endpapers. The book retains its original olive-green paperback binding and is complete.
Condition: Very Good+ to near fine.
A clean, well-preserved copy with a tight binding and clean, unmarked pages. Covers remain bright with only light handling wear and very slight sunning to the spine, a common characteristic of Black Sparrow Press editions. No ownership inscriptions, bookplates, library stamps or other markings.
Very minor crease to edges and very minor foxing on end pages which does not appear inside.
A desirable true first appearance of Bukowski's classic autobiographical novel, featuring Henry Chinaski, and one of the key publications from Black Sparrow Press.
