AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This work is a recreation of the bullfighter's ultimate dream before becoming a matador. The illusion, the eagerness, and the courage that young aspirants pour into these novilladas are incredible. The novice bullfighters want to give their all and show all their art in these bullfights that are not minor and that are the path to glory, like the one who holds a bull's tail as a trophy.

A work that displays the colors of the festival and tradition with a cape pass that reveals all the dreams of the young novice bullfighter. This piece is delivered framed in a cardboard box ready to hang.

No shipments are made from July 13 to 18 nor from August 4 to 27.

María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that hers was the art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a Fine Arts degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, in the Painting specialty, in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.

Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Women and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the collections of municipalities such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Diputación de Alicante…

She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also in numerous private collections worldwide. Her industrious and enthusiastic stance has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and everything that allows her to express what she carries inside. Her work always reveals the phase she lives in, her vitality, and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings rich in both narrative and technical aspects.

Her works always include a certificate of authenticity, and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater safety.
