Description from the seller
Walking to the Museum is an original work executed in acrylic on canvas that takes as its starting point the emblematic Bilbao tile and transforms it into a visual journey constructed through perspective. The path symbolically leads toward the museum, whose silhouette appears suggested in the background of the composition, inviting the viewer to complete the scene with their own gaze.
The geometry of the tiles dialogues with organic elements placed in the foreground — spheres, a leaf and a floral motif — creating a contrast between nature, city and architecture. The black background intensifies depth and makes color take on a leading role.
The work is inspired by the city of Bilbao and its cultural identity, but seeks to go beyond literal representation to become a reflection on the journey, urban memory, and the meeting between public space and artistic creation.
Unique work, signed by the artist.
