Description from the seller
Habitable Geometry
In Habitable Geometry, architecture ceases to be merely a set of structures and becomes a metaphor for emotional space. The houses, reduced to essential forms repeated like a visual rhythm, create a landscape where geometry organizes the territory without stripping it of humanity. Circular trees and intensely colored roofs dialog with a luminous atmosphere that transforms the scene into a place suspended between memory and imagination, where each element seems to occupy a precise place within a carefully constructed balance.
The composition explores the coexistence of order and spontaneity. Overlaid color planes, transparencies, and chromatic variations generate depth without relying on traditional realism, inviting the viewer to experience the work through emotion rather than literal representation. The intense yellow sky acts as an energy focal point that envelops the landscape and contrasts with greens, blues, violets, and oranges, creating a chromatic vibration that brings vitality and a constant sense of movement.
This piece is part of the series Habitable Geometry, a project in which I investigate the relationship between architecture, landscape, and affective memory. Through a contemporary language based on simplification of forms and the prominence of color, each work proposes a symbolic territory where the houses represent the human footprint and the construction of memories. More than describing a concrete place, the work invites recognition of those inner spaces we all inhabit and that remain alive in our memory.
About R.Robin
Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theater designer, and drawing teacher, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and based in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts, and develops an artistic practice centered on painting and contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry, and a strong symbolic charge converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech School of Art Instructors, and between 2006 and 2009 he worked as a costume and set designer for the Santa Clara Provincial Council of Performing Arts, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.
His work has been shown in various solo exhibitions in Cuba, notably at the Provincial Gallery of Art and at institutional spaces in Santa Clara. He has also participated in major group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, group exhibitions in France, and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to stage design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that engages with painting, space, and contemporary symbolic experience.
