Esty O - Forest Light Breaking

I am a contemporary abstract artist working intuitively with acrylics, layered textures, organic forms, and handwritten elements.

My work explores memory, heritage, nature, and the passage of time through atmospheric compositions that evolve organically during the creative process. Rather than following a fixed image, I allow each painting to develop through layers of colour, gesture, transparency, and texture, creating works that balance spontaneity with depth.

Inspired by landscapes, botanical forms, weathered surfaces, and fragments of personal and collective memory, my paintings invite viewers to form their own emotional connections and interpretations.

Each artwork is a unique original piece, created entirely by hand and guided by intuition, experimentation, and a fascination with the stories hidden within layers.

Large-scale abstract acrylic on canvas. Rich layers of emerald, forest green, and deep teal collide with bursts of molten orange, gold, and copper. The textured, almost weathered surface creates depth — light seems to break through a dense forest canopy, or embers glowing in shadow.
