A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Sarian (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist.
Koupetzian became famous for his cubist compositions, the so-called synthetic cubism, initially invented by Braque and Picasso around 1910.
After adopting this style in the 1970s, A. Koupetzian has developed it considerably by adding depth and new colors never before observed.
The works are widely exhibited in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, the USA, the United Kingdom and China.
