PRESENCE (2026). New Zen Statue by Lou Ma Ho (145 cm). Erected in space like a resting point amid the turmoil, the sculpture acts as a silent breath. Its deep black absorbs the reflections, colors and movements that surround it. In the tradition of Lou Ma Ho's Zen statues, the work explores this paradoxical idea: it is not what is added that gives strength to a form, but what disappears. As the details fade, something else appears. An obvious truth. A sensation. The sculpture then becomes a mirror. Each person projects their own experience there.

Son noir profond absorbe les reflets, les couleurs et les mouvements qui l’entourent. Dans la tradition des statues zen de Lou Ma Ho, l’œuvre explore cette idée paradoxale : ce n’est pas ce qui s’ajoute qui donne de la force à une forme, mais ce qui disparaît. À mesure que les détails s'effacent, quelque chose d'autre apparaît. Une évidence. Une sensation. La sculpture devient alors un miroir. Chacun y projette sa propre expérience.
