Cornelis Bruinsma – Winterrust aan de Bosbeek, an original 1970–1980 oil on canvas landscape from the Netherlands, hand-signed, in reasonable condition, 70 cm high by 59.5 cm wide, sold with frame.
Description from the seller
Cornelis Bruinsma – Winter Rest at the Bosbeek
Without a frame, the painting is 60 cm high and 50 cm wide.
Beautifully atmospheric landscape painting by the Dutch artist Cornelis Bruinsma. This classic winter scene shows a snow-covered farm at a calm body of water, surrounded by trees and a tranquil wintry landscape. The warm tones and fine composition give the painting a rustic and timeless appearance, making it pair excellently with both a classical and country interior.
On the back there is a sticker from the Goudse Kunsthandel, which supports the provenance and authenticity of the painting.
The condition of the painting is good. There are a few very small spots of paint loss. These are only visible when the painting is viewed under direct sunlight or a particular angle of light (see the penultimate photo). There is also a very small piece of paint missing on the front, but this is not conspicuous in the overall view (see the last photo). When the painting hangs normally on the wall, these spots are not noticeable and do not detract from the lovely presentation of the work.
A charming and decorative painting by a beloved Dutch landscape painter, ready to find a beautiful new place on the wall.
The painting will be carefully packed and shipped.
