These statuettes are ancient representations of the Madonna and Child in porcelain Vieux Paris (Antique Paris), dating from the late 19th century or the early 20th century (circa 1900). They are a classic French production in hard porcelain or biscuit, typical of the Parisian manufactories of the era ("Vieux Paris"). They were produced both for domestic devotion and as souvenirs tied to shrines and pilgrimage sites. In white glazed porcelain with a glossy finish, with the facial features painted by hand.
Finishes and gilding in pure gold (gold at the third firing), with motifs of tiny stars or crosses along the robe and on the decorated base for some."
