Herman Brood, Dutch artist, original acrylic and mixed-media painting titled Iggy, on canvas, 80 x 59.5 cm, hand-signed, created in the 1990s, sold with frame, from the first owner.
Description from the seller
Painting by the Dutch singer, songwriter and artist Herman Brood.
(November 5, 1946 - July 11, 2001).
The painting is presumably a portrait of his dog Iggy (named after Iggy Pop).
It is on canvas (stretched) painted with acrylic paint and spray paint (mixed media).
The signature is placed on the right/vertically by means of spray paint.
The size of the canvas is 80 x 59.5 cm (frame not included) and the canvas is mounted on a stretcher with a simple wooden frame around it.
The condition of the painting is very good, no damage etc.
The painting is from the first owner and was purchased in July 1999 at Gallery Aad Leemans in Rotterdam (an invoice of purchase is available).
There is no certificate of authenticity, but there is a photo (enclosed) of the painting together with the painter in his studio.
The painting is preferably picked up.
