Description from the seller
Mac Dugan 8 Years Old Rare Deluxe Blend - Distilled 1966 - b. 1974 - 75cl - 43% vol.
Superb and extremely rare collector's item for true connoisseurs and lovers of vintage spirits. Up for auction is a bottle of Mac Dugan Rare 8 Years Old Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1966 and bottled in the early 1970s by Peter J. Russell & Co. Ltd. in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This exceptional bottling represents a liquid snapshot of the golden era of Scotch Whisky, a period when the quality of blend components (often featuring a high percentage of premium single malts) was outstandingly high compared to modern standards.
Condition Report (as shown in photos):
Label: Retains its iconic burgundy color and well-legible golden lettering. Shows natural and genuine signs of aging on the left edge, with minor abrasions that certify its authenticity and decades-long history.
Neck tag: Perfectly intact, clearly stating "Distilled 1966".
Seal: The bottle is sealed with its original cap and features the vintage Italian tax strip, partially weathered but present.
Fill level: Excellent, high-shoulder/base of the neck, proving a great seal over the decades.
A true piece of Scottish distilling history, perfect for a high-end collection or a long-term liquid investment.
