It is a wonderful landscape from the early 19th century, English school, with an indecipherable signature at the bottom left (see photo). It depicts a landscape and is from the early Romantic era; it probably bears the influence of Constable’s attention to English countryside landscapes in the early 19th century.
Certainly this is a work of excellent quality for its school, and the photographs do not fully convey the beauty and intensity of the colors of this lovely landscape, which pairs with another of identical size present in this auction.
