Italian school, mid-19th century – Portrait of a young girl with roses – oil on canvas
Elegant female portrait belonging to the Italian school of the mid-19th century, depicting a young girl wearing a white dress and a small bouquet of roses.
The work is distinguished by the delicacy of the expression, the refined rendering of the flesh tones, and the sober compositional setup, typical of 19th-century Italian bourgeois portraiture.
