Description from the seller
Urban Abstraction
In Urban Abstraction, the city ceases to be an identifiable place and becomes an emotional territory built from color planes, essential architectures, and geometric rhythms. Houses, churches, and trees appear reduced to elemental forms that dialogue with each other, generating a balanced composition where the memory of the urban landscape blends with abstraction. The intense yellow dominating the sky acts as a symbolic light source, enveloping the entire scene in a warm, timeless atmosphere.
The work explores the contrast between the precision of structures and the freedom of the painterly gesture. Layers of glazes, transparencies, and expressive strokes add visual depth, while a vibrant palette of yellows, greens, magentas, blues, and blacks creates a constant play between serenity and energy. Each element seems to occupy a carefully meditated place, inviting the viewer to move through the composition and discover new relationships between shapes, spaces, and voids.
This piece belongs to a pictorial research focused on reinterpretation of the urban landscape through a contemporary language, where architecture loses its descriptive function to transform into a symbol of memory, identity, and emotion. Urban Abstraction is a work with strong visual presence, capable of lending character and sophistication to both contemporary art collections and spaces of architecture and interior design seeking a original, luminous piece with great aesthetic impact.
