Description from the seller
Omega Seamaster Mariner I Vintage Quartz Ref. 196.0054 – Unpolished / Spider Dial
Description: Offered for sale is a true rarity from the 1970s: a legendary Omega Seamaster Mariner I (Reference: 196.0054 / ST 396.0840) from 1976. This model is a milestone in watchmaking history and houses the famous Omega in-house quartz movement, Calibre 1310 (Megaquartz 32 KHz).
Condition: The watch is in honest, unpolished original condition. The sharp edges, bevels, and original case finish typical of this era are perfectly preserved. There are normal signs of wear consistent with age (honest patina) that underscore its vintage character. Dial (Spider Dial): Under direct light, the deep black dial reveals a beautiful, uniform texture (spider dial / tropical effect). A real eye-catcher and highly sought-after by collectors! Functionality: The watch is fully functional. The movement runs precisely, and the date and day (in German: FRE, SAM, etc.) switch cleanly. A new battery (silver oxide 1.55V) has just been installed. Bracelet: Original integrated stainless steel bracelet with the correct stamp (1268/241) on the clasp. For its age, the bracelet has remarkably little stretch and remains firm.
