Artistic description
Cartography of Light is an abstract work on canvas of 100 x 100 cm, mounted on a pine wood stretcher, created as a living composition of color, rhythm and texture.
In this piece I wanted to build an emotional map: small traces of color that appear, cross and dialogue with each other over a luminous background. The tones of water blue, turquoise, pink, fuchsia, beige and golden ochre create a joyful, fresh and sophisticated feeling, like fragments of memories, summer glints or small windows of light scattered across the canvas.
Texture plays an essential role. The brushstrokes and the denser layers add depth and physical presence, making the work change with light and the distance from which it is observed. Up close, the gesture, the material and the energy of the process are perceived; from afar, the composition becomes balanced, elegant and decorative.
It is a work conceived to bring vitality without losing delicacy. It has a cheerful, contemporary and highly versatile presence, capable of lighting up a bright space or creating a strong contrast in a dark and sophisticated setting. Its square format gives it visual strength and balance, making it a centerpiece.
