Description from the seller
ATTENTION: The piece ships fully MOUNTED and ready to hang.
Fault Line — Ember Vein belongs to the Fault Line series, a collection born from the idea of fracture as a point of transformation: what breaks, shifts or opens, but at the same time reveals a new depth.
In this work I wanted to explore the tension between softness and strength. The background is built with glazes in dusty pink, terracotta, peach, cream, and copper tones, creating an enveloping, almost mineral atmosphere. On that surface appears a darker organic line, a kind of crack or vein in deep brown, rust, shadow, and burnt earth, crossing the canvas like a geological imprint.
The piece speaks of inner movement. It is not a violent rupture, but a contained energy: a line that separates and unites at the same time. I’m interested in that sense of an abstract landscape, of living matter, as if the painting captured a moment when earth, light, and memory were slowly shifting.
The texture provides presence and depth. The denser areas generate subtle reflections and changes in perception depending on the light, while the softer areas allow the work to breathe. Up close, you perceive layers, gestures, and nuances; from afar, the composition becomes an elegant, warm, and powerful image.
Fault Line — Ember Vein is a work with a sophisticated and emotional character. Its warm palette makes it enveloping, while the central line adds visual strength and personality. It is a piece designed for spaces where art not only decorates, but makes a statement.
