Description from the seller
Gerald Groshens discovers his passion for painting at the age of 16, when he makes a dotted drawing with a dip pen during a class at school. This technique, which gives a photographic effect to his works, marks the beginning of his artistic journey. Today, Gerald Groshens mainly practices oil and acrylic painting, often on canvas, using pointillism as the dominant technique. His work explores various figurative and impressionist forms, with particular attention to detail and texture, as evidenced by his depictions of landscapes, scenes of daily life and marine subjects. Based in a region where nature and the elements play an important role, he draws inspiration especially from the local landscapes and natural phenomena, which is reflected in his works. His artistic engagement manifests in a constant pursuit of creation, favoring the time spent on the work over participation in salons. Throughout his career, Gerald Groshens has received several prizes and has exhibited internationally, notably in Japan and France, highlighting the recognition of his work. His approach blends technical rigor with sensitivity, offering a personal expression through mastery of pointillism and traditional mediums.
