Description
NO WAR - 1 is part of an artistic approach blending urban art, contemporary expression, and popular visual culture.
The expression “NO WAR” is repeated, superimposed, and transformed until it becomes a true graphic material. The text is no longer merely a message: it becomes rhythm, gesture, and texture. The handwritten letters, drips, and projections create a dense, spontaneous composition, in which language seems progressively to tilt toward abstraction.
The contrast between deep black, turquoise shades, and white highlights gives the work a strong visual presence. The repetition of the message evokes protest, urgency, and the difficulty of getting a call for peace heard in a world marked by the repetition of conflicts.
Created with acrylic and spray paint on canvas, this unique piece develops a raw, contemporary aesthetic, where accidents, projections, and traces of gesture fully contribute to the artwork’s identity.
