Universal Watch Ipovedenti pocket watch, Swiss-made and hand-wound, in a nickel-plated metal case with a 50 mm case diameter and a 50 cm lug width, weighing 93 g, in very good condition with minimal wear and functioning, the inner case bears Opera Nazionale Invalidi di Guerra; not shipped insured.
Description from the seller
Interesting pocket watch, savonette, for the visually impaired, built in Switzerland by Universal Watch (in 1930 it became Universal Genève) in 1917 through a contract with O.N.I.G. (Opera Nazionale Invalidi di Guerra), Italian-founded in 1917.
Functioning.
Despite its age, its overall condition of preservation is good. White porcelain dial, without cracks, with Arabic numerals, above which the corresponding raised markers help identify the hours by touch.
Black, original hands, very thick to resist the passage of fingertips.
Movement: functioning, handsome and clean.
Inside the inner case back is the inscription Opera Nazionale Invalidi di Guerra, a foundation that cared for the disabled from World War I. Small and inevitable signs of aging.
Measurements: 5 cm in diameter x 7 cm with ring x 1.2 cm thick.
The photos are an integral part of the description.
No shipping to the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Tracked shipping.
