Andrea Krauß stands among the prominent figures of contemporary German painting. A prizewinner of the AOK Nordost Art Prize (Berlin/Brandenburg) and former fellow of the renowned Lukas Artist House in Ahrenshoop, she studied at the Braunschweig University of Art. For many years she has dedicated herself consistently to painting and today lives and works in her studio in the heart of Berlin.

Starting from personal impressions, Andrea Krauß develops image worlds that reach beyond the individual and touch universal experiences of nature, space, and transience.
