Hermès scarf “1789 - Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” – Bicentennial Edition 1989
Magnificent Hermès scarf in silk twill created in 1989 on the occasion of the bicentennial of the French Revolution.
Designed by Joachim Metz, this emblematic model celebrates the great symbols of the French Republic through a rich and detailed composition blending the Phrygian cap, the tricolor cockade, fasces, oak leaves, and the Declaration of the Rights of Man.
This commemorative edition was never reissued by Hermès, which makes it a piece particularly appreciated by collectors of vintage scarves and enthusiasts of historical designs.

Condition: The scarf shows very beautiful colors, remaining bright and luminous. The silk retains a nice sheen and the design remains particularly vivid.
