Michel Pinel, Réflexions, 2006
Silver gelatin print
In Réflexions, Michel Pinel masterfully layers reality and illusion through double exposure and reflections. The nude female figure, partially submerged with visible freckles and intense gaze, merges with water, light patterns, and architectural echoes, creating a poetic and dreamlike composition.
The image plays with transparency, fragmentation, and sensuality, showcasing Pinel’s refined technique in chiaroscuro and his deep exploration of the female form as both intimate and abstract. This rare 2006 baryta print exemplifies his signature elegance and technical mastery.
